We always keep an eye on Lane as they constantly have brilliant presents and gifts- to ourselves and other people- especially around the festive season. They’ve just launched the Sand Cast Brick Tea Light Holder. A striking triangle, the corners rise inwards to hold a copper tea light cup and are designed to tessellate to create stylish patterns and arrangements. It is handmade by Bulmer Brick and Tile Company in Suffolk using ancient British brick making traditions.

There’s a chill in the air, it’s harder to get up in the morning and Starbucks have launched their Pumpkin flavour coffees. Autumn is most definitely here. When you’ve finished raking leaves and accidentally setting the next door neighbour fence on fire in a vain attempt at a bonfire, head indoors and curl up on one of these bad boys from furniture band Arlo and Jacob.

Rive Roshan were commissioned by the London Design Fair to create an installation of five large hanging screens for the venue’s cafe using Divina fabric by Kvadrat. It’s the first time we have heard of this London-based design studio and we like what we see. Airy spacial partitions of modular panels separated the space playfully as partially open windows between communal tables, adding softness to the industrial backdrop of the Old Truman Brewery.

We love a good chair and so do Casa International. They’ve commissioned new seating pieces by Italian architect/designer Mauro Lipparini to add to his already strong collection.

Agordo
The subtle colour and the 1950’s influence of the Agordo, made from Italian leather, would suit a range of interiors, but we think is such a stand alone beauty, that you could have one as a statement piece. We feel it’s expensive just by looking at it, so one is probably all we could get anyway.

Cassola
The Cassola chair has a unique look that derives from a metal understructure, linking backrest and seat. The framework is covered in a soft grey fabric that would suit a spread in Elle Decoration.

Asolo
We are particularly enamoured by the Asolo chair, we think it’s something to do with how perfect the legs are and the simplicity of the leather.

Looking to be inspired? Check out the below for the K&B coverage at 100% Design this September.

With more than 100 design awards, KALDEWEI is one of the most acclaimed bathroom manufacturers in the world. They will be bringing their newest ranges to the show floor to get you excited about sleek bathroom design.

Antoniolupi is a Tuscan company that has been around for more than 60 years. We love this very swanky sink. not quite sure how it would work on a practical level but still……

We are always dreaming about massive, new, big kitchens. Mainly kitchens that would never fit into our house. Italian brand Arredo3 are keeping us inspired and a little sad….because the kitchen in the picture is bigger than our whole flat.

We love anything concrete based and so naturally this sink by Kast has caught our eye. It comes with a variety of coloured taps and add ons but this copper one is best we think!

German brand Naber have got the tiny, modular kitchen down to a tee and the module “Concept Kitchen”, which has already been awarded design awards. Nice and a bit more our size.

It’s not often that a chair probably designed for workspace-environments catches our eye, but we really do like the shape and the fabric of the new Mylo range by JDD.

Designed and handcrafted in Birmingham, UK, the pieces come in a range of fabric options that would suit any office breakout area or indeed within a less formal situ, round a dining room table at home. The legs come in 6 different colours that would brighten up any room.

The foodie hotspot, Zetter Townhouse in Clerkenwell has the chairs on show at the moment in their meeting rooms in a muted palette that suits their interior design perfectly, so make sure to pop by and see them.

Up to the North, as architecture and interior design practice Jestico + Whiles complete the new Shilling Bar & Brewery in Glasgow. Opened this month, the new 160-seat brewpub is set inside the former Commercial Bank of Scotland built in the 1920s and they have made the most of the ornate architectural site features they found as well as adding in a few nods to the past of their own.

The design strips back the former interior of architectural ‘clutter’ to reveal, for the first time in decades, a beautifully proportioned banking hall with 20ft-high coffered ceilings. Fragments of the past have been uncovered and cleaned, including fluted marble columns that frame a glimpsed view to a wood-burning oven.

It’s rare to find beauties like these and if the ceiling heights and columns weren’t enough, they’ve added to the features already there by bringing in a mural of a majestic unicorn by local artist Gaz Mackay – one of Scotland’s most famous heraldic mythical creatures and a huge inset star embossed into the concrete floor.

Now all we have to do is get there…..Click here to read more.

We have found British brand Kukka and are in love. The interiors and accessories brand offers contemporary products for the modern-day living designed by founder Rona Meyuchas-Koblenz.

Junit is a modular pendant lamp that consists of 8 different elements. They come in a natural, clear finish or each in a different color. The bulb complements the colorful lamp with its oversized, milky glass that produces warm, ambient light.

We love this new way of telling the time! Freakish clock comes in five different colour ways and is a great statement piece for any room.

The SJ bookcase offers a myriad of combinations and colours – from the rigorous to the more asymmetric. Each block has a different colour back and is made to fit together or in separate spaces across the home.

We’ve spoken about how much we love boards with peg holes in and how happy they make us (strangely.) This is X Holes Round, Kukka’s version and we like. We like a lot. Made from birch, get as many pegs as you can and hang all sorts of useless trinkets to distract yourself with on it.

One sure fire way to make an office space or a co-working environment look instantly more agreeable, is to get gorgeous chairs in there. Walter Knoll, leaders in the office interior world for over 150 years, have created some of the furniture world’s most iconic pieces.

EOOS Cuoio
Walter Knoll has worked with some top designers globally, including Foster + Partners, PearsonLloyd, EOOS, Sadi & Neptune Ozis and Claudio Bellini and a small group of other designers.

Foster and Partners
We are particular fans of this more home interior set called Seito by Wolfgang Mezger. Although the chairs could work just as well in break out office spaces, they are informal and the colours muted enough, to work brilliantly in a pared-back Scandi scheme.

We are also mad-keen on this 50’s inspired Mad-Men looking set of lounge chairs by architect and design practice PearsonLloyd. The chair has been designed with classic cars in mind. The influence can be seen in the undulating lines and rich focus on upholstery.
