Clerkenwell Design Week 2015 Preview: Outdoor furniture from Assemblyroom


Peter Wall has fulfilled his customers requests by providing an outdoor version of the Hyde Stool. Hyde Outside, is a stackable outdoor stool made from recyclable polyethylene durable enough to survive even the harshest elements of the great British summer!

The stool will launch at Clerkenwell Design Week in May alongside a selection of other new additions to the Assemblyroom collection: a compact arm chair and sofa plus a new lampshade.

Student Competition: Design a Clerkenwell Design Week window display for Designworks Tiles

Tile manufacturer and supplier Designworks Tiles has launched a competition for UK based students enrolled on a design related course.  Students are invited to design a window display for the company’s St John Street, Clerkenwell showroom on the theme ‘What does London mean to you?’

The installation will be in place in time for the prestigious Clerkenwell Design Week in May 2015, meaning the winning display may be viewed by some of the 50,000 attendees that visit the area during the event, providing an excellent platform for showcasing the designer’s work to the industry.  In addition, the winning designer will receive a cash price of £1,000.
