Shadow Chair by Duffy London

Posted on November 10th, 2010 by Mark

Shadow Chair

Designed by Duffy London, the Shadow Chair was first launched at the Milan Salone Satellite in April 2009 with Hidden Art. At first glance it is a simple wooden chair that seems to defy gravity by standing upright while only having two front legs, but on closer inspection the shadow is made from steel and is attached to a metal frame built inside the chair. The Shadow Chair is available in a number of finishes and the wood is from Forest Stewardship Council managed forests and other controlled sources.

Cocaine&Heroin Shakers by David Shrigley

As a managing partner of CultureLabel.com we are always on the quest for new, innovative products for the museum world. Some of our partners have amazing products in their shops (ie the Salt & Pepper or Cocaine&Heroin Shakers by David Shrigley at the Saatchi Gallery) and Tate is pushing the envelope even further with us. We are looking for the next generation museum shop product, ideas and designs can be submitted at our competition website Release and the winner will be in the Tate shops in Q4 2010. This is not only a huge opportunity for newcomers to the design world but also perhaps a great new product for collectors who love to shop in museum shops.
