Awesomestow designers at Heals

It may be partly do do with the fact that we live in Walthamstow and love how creative and craft-led the area is, but we were particularly proud and impressed to hear that The Blackhorse Workshop has been selected to be part of this year’s Heal’s Modern Craft Market at the Tottenham Court Road store.

Now in its fourth year, the Modern Craft Market theme is Made in London, celebrating the capital’s homegrown craft community. Blackhorse Workshop, founded three years ago by Turner Prize-winning collective Assemble, now houses over 40 independent furniture and product designers, providing affordable access to workshop equipment and a creative community that is key to pushing forward contemporary design.

Presenting work as part of this showcase for Heal’s, the workshop introduces some new designers, with furniture and products from De Allegri & FogaleGroup DesignUpcyclisteTim Summers DesignWilson Palmer[M]odel MakerMade by Rofa, NOF Surfboards and Michael & George.

We have used images from just three of the designers: De Allegri & Fogale who present pieces from their collection ISH,  Tim Summers  with his super Wobbly Peyote game and Michael & George  bring their playful giant HB Pencil lamp, all produced at the Blackhorse workshop.

Bring it on Awesomestow (and Blackhorse Road. And Leyton…..)
