Fashion brand Marni reflected on the concept of play and childhood at Milan this year , inviting the public to forget the rules and interact with the spaces they found themselves in.
The Marni Playland and beach was a stretch of sand which played host to an abundance of Marni created objects and furniture sculptures that cast practicality aside to embrace playfulness instead.
By using traditional rattan weaving to create the pieces, they evoked the simple and fun elements of childhood, that aren’t interested in perfection.
The pieces were laid out on man made ‘beaches’ and people were encouraged to play with them as well as sit on the real Marni pieces. All in the name of charity Only the Brave, which will receive a cut from all sales.
