Lasvit unveiled two designs by the late Zaha Hadid as part of Euroluce at the Salone del Mobile. The designs build on LASVIT’s extensive portfolio of custom projects created in collaboration with top architects and interior designers.
One piece called Eve is composed of fifteen glass pieces arranged into one piece chandelier that combines traditional glassmaking techniques with parametric design. Informed by Hadid’s renowned design language, Eve accentuates between clear and opaque elements and can be suspended at a varying heights.
The second piece named Duna, was inspired by the abstract logic of dune formations that defy traditional Cartesian geometries. The striated surface of the crystal glass produces changing effects of reflection and refraction. Narrowly directed light sources beam light through the mass of glass into the entire glass element, highlighting its geometry.
