Of course Carl Hansen & Son have amazing pieces of furniture and some new launches have been at Stockholm too, but when they take room set pictures like this, a little bit of our heart here at Despoke just lifts.
The brand have opened a new showroom in New York’s Flatiron District as of this month. They opened their first US space in 2011 in Soho and have grown the business five fold since that time. On the heels of this success and in order to grow its offering to the city’s architecture and design community, the company has relocated to a new, purpose-built showroom at the centre of New York’s emerging design district. And it looks like the above. We want to go.
Danish multidisciplinary artist Naja Utzon Popov has developed a new series of wool rugs for the brand. The two collections – with two designs each – are bound together by their nature-inspired expression. Like WOODLINES, the new BOTANICA and OCEANIA collections are the result of Utzon Popov and Carl Hansen & Son’s shared passion for great craftsmanship, a love of nature, and an exceptional understanding of quality materials.
