Skandium Selects for the London Design Fair

In partnership with the London Design Fair, Skandium continues to champion its ongoing dedication to Scandinavian design. As part of ‘Skandium selects’, the Scandinavian- lifestyle store chose ten products from seven Scandinavian designers. Here are our top three below.

Nathalia Mussi

Skandium have chosen Nathalia Mussi’s Tiro Tequila set  designed for a group exhibition of Helsinki-based designers creating pieces inspired by Mexican culture. The tequila set is made up of a set of thin ceramic cones that fail to stand on their own – being held in a juxtapose by solid copper bases.

Scraped mirror

We love this gorgeous mirror shelf from Bejing-born, Swedish- educated and now resident of Bergen, Norway, designer Cecilia Xinyu Zhang. The Scraped Mirror Shelf is made from a scraped mirror film on a piece of bent plywood or polished corroded metal to achieve a mirror effect – resulting in a fusion of function – a shelf and mirror.

Poured bowls

Bang on with the tie-dye and marbling trend, Troels Flensted’s Poured bowls and newly introduced platter are made from mineral powder, water- based acrylic polymer and pigments into a liquid casting material.

The seven pieces will be showcased during the London Design Festival in the Brompton Road store for two weeks following on from the fair.
