A shelving system focused around flexibility and customisation, architect Matteo Gerbi launched Ray Shelf in May this year, and launches his new muted palate at 100%Design.
The name, and the vivid primary brights of the original series, are inspired by rays of light – the bars which form the shelves – passing through the multi-shaped ‘prisms’ which form the supports. A shelving system which embraces its structural qualities as part of their form Gerbi wanted to celebrate and expose the structure and make it the feature of the units.
