Speaking of the inspiration behind the display, Cocksedge explains; ”Mercedes wanted to connect visually with the neighbouring 100% auditorium so I had to come up with something that reflected the linear webbing of the transparent auditorium walls.”
The resulting neon cables that surround the slick Mercedes concept car on display are certainly dramatic in effect. Cocksedge went on to comment; “what I love about this piece is the way the straight lines of the cables are reflected appear curved in the reflection on the body of the car”.
