Contemporary contract furniture designer and manufacturer, Isomi, will launch the Mono Collection at 100% Design in London this September, made with the unique Solid Surface HI-MACS®.
The collection comprises of thermoformed desks, seating and media units, designed by Paul Crofts with the architect, designer and contractor firmly in mind. An ensemble of modular elements seamlessly fused into one product, Croft’s design takes advantage of the highly practical and aesthetic features of the Solid Surface material HI-MACS®. HI-MACS® many properties enabled the designer to create the seamless, highly durable, impact resistant finish, which makes his furniture ideal for hard-working reception areas in public and private spaces, like offices, hotels, airports, stadia and stations.
Designer, Paul Crofts, comments,
‘My aim for the Mono Collection is for it to be specified in the same way designer furniture and lighting is usually specified – as part of the fit-out for a reception space. Providing a solution for time or budget pressed architects and interior designers, we are offering a finished product that has gone through extensive prototyping and refining processes that are rarely possible for a one-off piece of furniture.’
The Mono Seating Collection provides the architect and interior designer with a unique solution – it is modular at the point of specification, but entirely seamless at installation, with the individual modules arriving on-site as one invisibly fused piece. The Mono Collection seating comprises a thermoformed HI-MACS® solid surface base with a tailor-made premium fabric upholstered seat.
Isomi’s Mono Collection desks – shown here with a custom-designed folded aluminium light – can be left or right handed and feature ergonomic sign-in platforms, space for built-in storage which can be specified in modular elements, and the facility for a fully DDA-compliant recess, manufactured in HI-MACS® with a seamless, highly durable, impact resistant finish.
The elements of the Mono Collection desks can be tailored to suit any reception area from a pre-engineered kit of parts, allowing all of the tooling to be rigorously pre-tested. The range delivers a flexible, cost-competitive solution, complete with contemporary design and a bespoke finish.
Isomi’s freestanding Media Unit seamlessly caters for two height options, one for standing and the other for wheelchair access, making it fully DDA-compliant and an aesthetically refined accompaniment to the other elements of isomi’s collection. The media unit is made using the solid surface material HI-MACS®, and has a seamless, highly durable, impact resistant finish, making it ideal for any hardworking areas.
The Media Unit supports all IT packages, and Isomi can meet a wide range of IT needs, from standard programmes to complex bespoke requirements.
The Void Coffee Table base is manufactured from powder coated steel, glass top and thermoformed HI-MACS® surface for magazine storage.
Much of the flexibility and stand out features that Isomi has been able to introduce is directly attributable to the outstanding characteristics of HI-MACS® which will also deliver long-lasting, durable, hygienic and easy to maintain surfaces.
