Suzanne Lee’s pioneering project will be demonstrated by growing a biomaterial using nothing other than some sugary tea and bacteria. Grown in flat sheets, sewn together or moulded over 3D shapes, this eco-textile can then be thrown on the compost heap at the end of it’s lifecycle! You will see the different stages of the process, watch how the growth baths are set-up, be able to feel some swatches and see examples of product prototypes.
Meet Suzanne Lee from Bio Couture and take part in her workshop at 11am -2pm Thursday 23rd September on the 100% Materials stand at 100%Design.
