This is the first year 100% Design have collaborated with the Interior Design Association to put together an agenda setting programme of sessions for design professionals and practices working in UK and international commercial interiors. Thursday’s sessions will focus on designing for hospitality and leisure, Friday’s spotlight is on designing for retail and the workplace and Saturday’s sessions will take an international perspective.
A stellar line-up of speakers includes keynotes from InterContinental Hotels Group’s Directors of Project Procurement, Engineering and Corporate Responsibility, and Selfridges’ Creative Direction team.
Other highlights on Thursday include an in-conversation session with Kit Kemp, Interior Design Director of the award-winning Firmdale Hotel Group, talking with Bethan Ryder of Living etc about how she transforms buildings using imagination, wit and style, from start to finish, and what promises to be a lively Question Time session Chaired by writer and architectural impresario Peter Murray, with input from Stephan Oberwegner, Dexter Moren and Developer of Hotel Rafayel, Iqbal Latif.
Thursday’s programme kicks off at 11.00am and includes:
11:00 Caroline Cole, Founder & Director, Colander who will provide insight into how to navigate the new economy and maximise emerging business opportunities.
12:00 Keynote: Creating quality guest experiences – balancing design, innovation and sustainability
Laura Noctor, Director – Corporate Responsibility, Mark Hanlon, Director of Engineering EMEA and Gordon Anderson, Director of Projects Procurement, EMEA, InterContinental Hotels Group will present their approach to balancing design, innovation and sustainability
14.00 A rare opportunity to hear inspirational Kit Kemp Interior Design Director, Firmdale Hotel Group interviewed live on-stage by Bethan Ryder, news and travel editor, Living etc talking about how she transforms buildings using imagination, wit and style, from start to finish.
15:00 Marco Rebora, Founder, Restaurant & Bar Design Awards will be joined on stage by winning restaurant and bar designers DesignLSM, Outline Design and Macaulay Sinclair
16:00 Peter Murray will chair a lively question time session including input from Iqbal Latif, Developer, Hotel Rafayel, Stephan Oberwegner, MD, Max Bentheim Ltd and Dexter Moren, Founding Director, Dexter Moren Associates
