What made you want to become a designer in the first place?
Since I was 15 years old, I had a motorbike and started to love doing modification and drawing for my bike. It became part of myself, even though at that time I can’t produce anything with 1 to 1 scale model, I just drew it on paper or doing small scale with paper and scissor.
Where did you study design?
I received my BA in Industrial Design from Tunghai University in Taiwan in 2007 and in 2009 I’d been conferred with the award of Masters of Arts in Design (Product Design) at Kingston University in London.
What was the first thing you designed?
My first motorbike, I’d re-design the body case into my own favorite color make it more recognizable from the first sight.
How do you define good design?
Good design is designing for people to be loved, desirable, worth to buy, and timeless.
What would you be if not a designer?
Don’t let it happen.
Which design of yours are you most proud of and why?
My EXPLICIT car design, it was my first design for automobile, and still has much more to learn to become a great car designer.
UNIKEA furniture, it’s like testing my limit of creativity, I couldn’t help myself continue creating new furniture, adding my own design personality, and it was fun.
Anything in your career you wish you’d done differently?
Wish I have a workshop to keep my hand working with material, and I need a new internship experience since my last internship with London designer Simon Hasan.

Hard to tell though, many designers come out with different design that can I say some of the designs are my favorite.
