1. Wooden carved birds:
Perch these shabby wooden carved birds on branches for a tweeting Christmas – these little dickie birds have just that balance between kitsch and charming.

2.I can’t get enough of vintage, battered baubles this year. They scream nostalgia without being too knackered. Toast has nailed the look with these silver glass baubles.

3. Next have pulled it out of the bag this year with their mink Christmas baubles. I love how they bounce light around the room to make interesting patterns on the walls.

4. Bit of loving at Christmas… that’s what it’s all about. Usually any design featuring a heart gives me the shudders but this wooden carved heart decoration from Heal’s is just the right side of chic.

Building blocks
5. Every year, I veto tinsel and fluorescent festive decorations. I’d like to spell out Christmas with these retro wooden blocks which remind me of yesteryear.
