What made you want to become a designer in the first place?
I like looking at things in a different way.

Industrial design at Middle East Technical University-Ankara,Turkey
Communication Design at Fashion Institute of Technology-New York
What was the first thing you designed?
A display system on the walls of my room to exhibit my cool t-shirts. It also made it easier for me to pick one in the morning.
How do you define good design?
Good design to me is the one that is simple, functional and beautiful. I also like it when a designed object can trigger an emotion or a thought.
What would you be if not a designer?
Travel writer. I am still planing on it.
Which design of yours are you most proud of and why?
I haven’t designed it yet.
Anything in your career you wish you’d done differently?
No, there’s always tomorrow to do things differently.
Which designers do you most admire?
Giulio Iachetti and Naoto Fukusawa
Which product do you wish you’d designed/do you think is an example of good design?
This will be lame answer but, the classical ipod. It is simple, functional, beautiful and it makes me happy.
Tell me about your design style at home?
I have a long way to go with the design of my home. Ideally, least amount of clutter, most amount of space and a personal touch.
